As someone who watched the Nationaldagsfirandet broadcast from Skansen, I know.
Nationaldagen was invented by SVT as Step 2 of their recent “Let’s fuck with these bastards called Sverigedemokraterna 2012” policy. It started with Christer Björkman stating, on the topic of Eurovision being held here next year said “We are going to make this a very Swedish Eurovision Song Contest and showcase our Swedish values - THAT EVERYBODY IS WELCOME HERE.”Today it went on with marvellous thing said by Kattis Alström, like:
“Today we also have a group of new citizens with us here at Skansen, as part of their citizenship ceremony! Let’s celebrate!!!”
“This year is a year of many anniversaries. We are, for example, celebrating that it’s been 500 years since the Romani people first came to Sweden!”
and many, many more incredible things. The celebration also featured the group Panetoz singing a mash-up of their hit Dansa, Pausa and old folk song classics (*Panetoz not being what SD regard as “really Swedish”).

I will answer this because my husband is getting emotional. I would have to say, If the twins ever did ask us why they don’t have a mother, we will tell them the truth.- that they are adopted- but it doesn’t make us any less their parents. That is just silly! And I think that Al & Mattie are born with kind and understanding hearts, far more mature for their age.
They would understand that even though they did not come from us, we love them and hopefully, they love us too. Whatever happens, whatever their decisions might be in life we will support them and be there for them as what parents will do.
